Harvest Festival
by James Wakeland (Staff) - Sunday, 8 October 2017, 2:16 PM

As part of our Harvest Festival celebrations, we are looking to collect any food that you are willing to donate to the local community.

Please can donations of food for the Harvest be brought to your child’s class teacher – these will need to be tins and/or packets so they can ‘keep’. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept fresh produce such as loose fruit/vegetables.

Can we also only receive food that is within its best before date.

We have arranged for all the food to be donated to Sherwood Forest Food Bank, who will then distribute it on our behalf. We are looking for donations to be collected by the food bank by 19th October.

In addition to this, we are hoping to make up some food parcels for members of our community. If there is anyone you feel is in need and would appreciate a donation, please can your child let their class teacher know so we can begin creating a list. Obviously, the number of parcels we can allocate will depend on the amount of food donated to us.

Your support for such a fantastic cause is greatly appreciated.
